We are a United States-based developer of carbon capture & storage solutions for the Maritime and Offshore industries. We are hiring a Senior Pilot Plant Technician to work on our proof-of-concept system and commercial-scale technology development and deployment. As Sr. Pilot Plant Technician, you will work along our process engineering team in testing and optimization of our Carbon Capture and Storage Pilot Unit.

Key Responsibilities

-Prepare, operate, and execute campaigns for experimental, prototype and/or commercial units.  

-Maintains records of run conditions and test results in accordance with company standards.  

-Perform pipe fitting, tubing, and equipment process connections.  

-Maintain a high sense of urgency and speed in delivering pilot plant data and results.  

-Maintain a parts inventory for the pilot plant equipment to be readily accessible. 

-Demonstrate a sense of ownership for the pilot plant assets and strong teamwork with co-workers. 

-Become the equipment expert and the Go To person for assigned assets when equipment/process/computer interface modifications are proposed.  

-Demonstrate the highest level of safety and consideration for self and others working in the experimental, pilot plant, or commercial units. 

-Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and well organized. 

-Ability to interpret technical drawings, including P&ID's, Wiring Diagrams, Mechanical Fabrication/Assembly Drawings, Equipment Diagrams.

-Aptitude for technical and practical work as company needs are identified. 

-Work independently, developing, planning, and executing day-to-day equipment operations and maintenance as established in the standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

-Bachelor degree in a technical field, chemistry and/or engineering.

-5+ years experience working and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. 

-Knowledge of MS Office applications (Ms. Word, Teams, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Excel)

-Experience with Engineering Management of Change processes.

-Experience with operation of laboratory and pilot scale equipment in the chemical sector. 

-Ideal if experience operating amine gas treating units. 

-Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices environment.

-Passionate about decarbonization and tackling climate change. 

-Ability to operate effectively and autonomously in an early-stage startup with high-levels of uncertainty and a fast-paced environment. 

-Multi-story stair climbing, ladder climbing, heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.

-Manual pipe fitting, equipment assembly. 

-Marine/Offshore experience considered a significant plus. 

-Normal operating hours are expected to be 8-5 however, shift work may be required and/or weekend work (rare, but possible) during testing campaigns. Onboard testing support will be required. This implies potential Domestic/ International travel.
