Do you want to be on the cutting edge of the clean energy / climate tech industry? Are you excited about the intersection of renewable energy and the circular economy? We are too. And that's why we launched a tech-driven recycling platform designed to maximize solar sustainability. The solar industry needs a global end-of-life partner to restore, renew and ultimately recycle yesterday's solar panels, inverters and batteries for tomorrow's clean energy projects. We aim to be the partner of choice for solar asset owners looking for a responsible solution to their end-of-life system needs. And we need you to direct our field operations to help us become a leader in this new burgeoning sector in the renewable energy industry. We continue to grow and are looking to bring on a Mid/Senior level Electrical Engineer. This candidate will preform a variety of tasks including requirements creation, system design, hardware/software integration, test and performance verification of system, and failure analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components of full-scale production recycling equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation
-Design, implement, and oversee electrical systems for new equipment installations, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
-Install instrumentation and electrical components safely and effectively to enable continuous process monitoring over a wide variety of system parameters, including electrical consumption and other metrics that are needed to sustain the recycling operation.
-Perform preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment. Collaborate with the operations and maintenance teams to provide electrical expertise in maintaining production line efficiency.
-Run conduit, pull wire, change motors, and maintain lighting systems and basic motor controls.
-Plan and manage upgrades to the facility's electrical infrastructure to accommodate equipment expansions and increased power demands. Work with contractors and vendors to ensure electrical installations and upgrades meet the company's requirements and comply with relevant codes and standards.
-Maintain, modify, and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.
-Create, review and release detailed design, project management, and standard operational & maintenance documentation.
-Interpret, update, and create plant electrical diagrams.
-Analyze problems and create understanding of root cause, define resolution and prevention of failures and other technical duties.
-Conduct analysis of Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMEA) to identify risks and calculate probability of occurrence/criticality of failure modes for electrical components.
-Conduct failure analysis and development of corrective actions in support of the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process.
-Contribute to the advancement of facility designs and awareness of recent innovations by continuing education, reading, participating in engineering organization.
