Tax Manager (Trust/Estate)

Position Overview
We are a rapidly growing wealth management firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager specializing in Trust and Estate taxation to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, overseeing tax compliance, and providing strategic tax planning to high-net-worth individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of estate and trust tax returns.
Provide strategic tax planning and advice for high-net-worth individuals and families.
Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize tax strategies for trusts and estates.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting trust and estate taxation.
Assist in the audit process and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Utilize tax software, including TaxCaddy, for efficient tax return preparation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CFP designation required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, specifically in trust and estate taxation.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts and estates.
Experience with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and family office structures.
Familiarity with audit processes and collaboration with external auditors is preferred.
Experience with tax software such as TaxCaddy is a plus.
CFP certification and knowledge of wealth management principles is a bonus.
