Tax Manager
Position Overview
The Tax Manager will lead the tax compliance and planning efforts for our diverse client base, ensuring that all tax returns are filed accurately and on time. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in various tax entities including S-Corps, C-Corps, and Partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for S Corps, C Corps, Partnerships, and Individuals.
- Advise clients on tax strategies and planning opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.
- Review and ensure accuracy of tax returns prepared by junior staff members.
- Stay updated with current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
- Assist in audits and inquiries from tax authorities when necessary.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax operations.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members in the tax department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
