Tax and Development Finance Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax and Development Finance Attorney to provide expert legal counsel on tax-related matters and development finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance and public finance, and will play a key role in supporting our clients with legal strategies that align with their financial objectives while navigating complex regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on tax issues related to development finance transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to finance and real estate.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on regulatory compliance and government regulations affecting finance and tax obligations.
  • Assist in structuring financial transactions to optimize tax benefits and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Represent clients in litigation matters involving tax and development finance issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential legal issues and provide strategic solutions.
  • Collaborate with finance and real estate teams to support project development and financing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Active bar license in the state of NY
  • 4+ years of experience in tax law and development finance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, public finance, and real estate law.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and drafting agreements.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
