Tax and Development Finance Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax and Development Finance Attorney to provide expert legal counsel on tax-related matters and development finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance and public finance, and will play a key role in supporting our clients with legal strategies that align with their financial objectives while navigating complex regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on tax issues related to development finance transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to finance and real estate.
Conduct thorough legal research on regulatory compliance and government regulations affecting finance and tax obligations.
Assist in structuring financial transactions to optimize tax benefits and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
Represent clients in litigation matters involving tax and development finance issues.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential legal issues and provide strategic solutions.
Collaborate with finance and real estate teams to support project development and financing initiatives.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD)
Active bar license in the state of NY
4+ years of experience in tax law and development finance.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, public finance, and real estate law.
Proven experience in contract negotiation and drafting agreements.
Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
