Safety Manager

Position Overview
The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols and initiatives within the organization to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role involves assessing and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Provide safety training and education to employees on best practices and safety protocols.
Lead accident investigations to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
Oversee hazardous materials management and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, making recommendations for improvement.
Stay updated on OSHA regulations and industry standards to ensure the organization remains compliant.

Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Minimum 7 Years of dedicated construction safety experience.
Experience in commercial, civil, and self-perform concrete vertical projects.
Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in a relevant industry.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
Familiarity with safety training and accident investigation methods.
Experience in emergency response planning and hazardous materials management.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
BCSP designation is a plus.
