Job Title: Reinsurance Program Manager, Team Lead

Salary: $150K-$180K base + annual bonus structure

Position Overview
Looking to add a Reinsurance Program Manager to join a top-tier Property and Casualty insurance team, with a focus on collaborating with reinsurers, MGAs, program administrators, and insurtech partners. The Program Reinsurance Manager will oversee the development and management of reinsurance programs, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and profitability goals. This role involves collaboration with underwriting teams and external partners to optimize reinsurance solutions and deepen client relationships in the property and casualty insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage reinsurance programs in alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate closely with underwriting teams to assess risks and determine appropriate reinsurance solutions.
Engage with carriers to negotiate terms and conditions that support business objectives.
Analyze reinsurance performance and adjust strategies to enhance profitability.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes impacting reinsurance and underwriting practices.
Provide training and support to internal teams on reinsurance principles and practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in reinsurance or underwriting.
Experience managing a team/direct reports
Experience in an insurance/reinsurance company in reinsurance placements, terms & conditions, including statutory and reinsurance accounting implications
Professional certification such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance products.
Experience working with managing general agents (MGAs) and various insurance carriers.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
