Corporate Controller - Position Overview

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for managing the organization's financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and leading budgeting and forecasting processes. This role is instrumental in driving financial strategy, maintaining internal controls, and providing key financial insights to support decision-making. The Corporate Controller will oversee the accounting team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial statements and reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts to support strategic financial planning.
• Conduct financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and support accurate reporting.
• Serve as the primary liaison for audit processes, ensuring preparedness and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Leverage ERP systems (Dynamics NAV, Business Central) to optimize accounting processes and financial reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to align financial goals with business strategy.
• Support the implementation of new financial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Manufacturing or CPG background preferred, but not a requirement.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
• Expertise in GAAP compliance, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially Dynamics NAV and Business Central.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a focus on variance analysis and internal controls.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills to collaborate effectively across departments
