Associate Environmental/Remediation Engineer

Position Overview

We are an employee-owned firm looking for a motivated and talented Environmental/Remediation Engineers to join our offices in Issaquah or Seattle.  You will be collaborating with colleagues from across our organization to provide environmental solutions to our clients environmental challenges.  

The ideal candidate will support a broad range of projects that reflect our core practices in contaminated site investigation and remediation, environmental due diligence, litigation support, and regulatory coordination. They will be experienced, and licensed in the state of Washington, with a proven track record of leading a team and thriving in client-facing consulting roles.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineers License in the State of Washington (*strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, including planning and performing site investigations, design and operation of remediation systems including air-sparge, soil vapor extraction, multi-phase extraction, in-situ remediation, mass excavation, and implementation of engineering controls.
  • Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and guidance including at a minimum MTCA, RCRA, and CERCL.
  • Permitting experience including procurement of NPDES and KCIW discharge permits.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, both internal and external, to perform cleanup actions with varying degrees of complexity and/or overall scope.
  • Ability to independently prepare proposals, summary reports, and formal cleanup documentation including Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study reports, Cleanup Action Plans, and Cleanup Action Reports.
  • CADD and engineering design plan preparation experience.
