Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney specializing in Construction Law to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing legal counsel and representation to clients in various construction-related matters, ensuring compliance with pertinent regulations and mitigating risks associated with construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in litigation and trial preparation for construction law cases
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents related to construction disputes
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Review and draft contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Provide legal advice on issues related to construction defects, professional liability, and contract disputes
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and general contractors to resolve legal issues
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings
  • Represent clients in court hearings, negotiations, and other legal proceedings

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Florida Bar Association certification
  • 3+ years of experience in construction law
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, liens, and toxic torts
  • Excellent litigation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple cases effectively
